Quiet writer type. I write words and think thoughts and try to find my way through this thing called life. My head in the clouds, my heart on my sleeve, I see you.

I post about everything else (mostly Star Wars, tbh) on my other account: @patchworkdroid

Profile image is figure with blue crescent moon for a head surrounded by purple clouds and stars. Banner is image of woods in autumn, with red & gold foliage.

@ixtlidekami Those voices, let them be heard!

:)

@ixtlidekami Or until the voices stop talking?

@ixtlidekami Well, just takes a little faith.

:)

#WritersCoffeeClub Feb 13 - Do you ever write very short pieces (fifty words, flash fiction etc)?

Yes.

Telling tales through six word stories.

Today in "Tell Me You're Neurodivergent without Telling Me You're Neurodivergent".

#WritersCoffeeClub Feb 8 - Which words do you overuse?

All of them.

But there are a few I tend to turn to more often: suddenly, nods/nodded, looks/looked.

I think I have a few overused phrases, too, but that's a whole other discussion.

#WritersCoffeeClub Catching up again 😩

Feb 6 - If you were to write a sequel centered on one of your SCs, which would you pick?
I have two actually - Bodhi & Ash. Their story deserves to be explored and shared. I love them so much.

Feb 7 - Complete this phrase: I write because...
I want to tell my characters' stories. And I need them to exist elsewhere besides in my head.

#WritersCoffeeClub Barely into the month and I'm already behind. Let's catch up.

Feb 3 - What skills/qualities do you look for in an editor?
Meticulous, honest & kind.

Feb 4 - What software do you use to write?
Word. I'm basic.

Feb 5 - Can you feel the emotions of your characters when you write them?
Yes, most definitely. But I'm hypersensitive & overly empathetic. I don't think feeling those emotions is a requirement to tell an amazing story, though. It's just the way I'm wired, tbh.

#WritersCoffeeClub Feb 2 - Do you agree with Jodi Picoult that you should finish writing a book even if you think it might be garbage?

No. For me personally, I've had to learn to walk away from things that aren't working. This includes my writing. This has been a hard lesson to learn for the completionist side of my personality.

This is definitely a very personal choice for any artist, and a difficult one.
