Our first Accredited training session for 2026 will focus on "Supporting Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) in Higher Education". It is important that specialist tutors and other professionals working in higher education know about DLD because of its prevalence, impact on education, employment and mental health. "What does an inclusive AI policy actually look like?" is a question many Further and Higher Educations institutions are considering right now, so it's great timing that our upcoming Accredited CPD training session is open for non-members to book. participants will be introduced to recent developments in AI policy and practice and invited to share examples from their own institutions, exploring how these policies are taking shape on the ground. Bookings are now open for our new ADHD Coaching Course. Created for tutors, mentors & advisers working in 1:1 settings with neurodivergent people, this programme develops inclusive, non-directive coaching skills for professionals interested in expanding their current practice to ADHD coaching. Two small cohorts (12 places each), with live teaching, peer practice and supervision built in. Early booking recommended.

AI is top of the mind right now and our July workshop "Advanced AI Strategies for SpLD tutors in FE and HE" got rave reviews: "This presenter has lived experience to share and also effective case studies which helped to relay the strategies brilliantly"; "It was much better than any previous AI training that I have attended." PASSHE is running a 'Revision and Exams workshop' for SpLD Tutors - PASSHE MEMBERS ONLY - online, Wednesday, May 7th 2025, via Zoom. Focusing on revision in sync with how the brain learns most easily and effectively, this workshop will provide guidance and resources to enable attendees to support University and FE students more effectively. Kassandra Clemens - a Study Skills Tutor with over 18 years experience in working with neurodivergent adults will lead this PASSHE Accredited CPD event.

Are your students procrastinating? Learn how coaching techniques can be used as a catalyst for Students' success at our upcoming online workshop. Dr Dionysios Kyropoulos, professional coach and trainer, is hosting the event on Wednesday March 5th, 12.30 - 2.30pm and will consider how using a non-directive approach, based on the principles of coaching could be beneficial in helping students avoid procrastination. We had outstanding feedback from our recent workshop "See me as One: Holistic approach to supporting neurodivergent students". The training was praised for its excellent content and inclusion of learning theories and examples of activities used in tutorials. Presenters, Nicola Mawer and Emily Adams (University of Hull) had a lovely style of delivery - very easy to listen to and follow, using a good mix of presentation and participation. PASSHE is piloting a new approach in collaborating with specialist organisations to deliver exclusive, tailored, highly-discounted CPD accredited programmes for our members. We are excited to announce the first of these developed with Diverse Learners, led by Kerry Pace.
