psychologist in a previous life. geography graduate before such a program was called environmental science. Now tending a biodynamic vineyard and spending a lot of my time talking to my bees. Running a small rural retreat/farm and being the personal slave of many farm animals otherwise.
Love that one!😂
The hunt for the vespa asiatica is open! Though we are at the coldest of winter.... plenty were caught already. This Jabeprode trap works wonders.
slow mo of the girls. not bad for our coldest day of the year so far (-4C-10C)
they were out, though the temps are below 12C. They've gotten used to the protective net.
That time of the year again: vine pruning. All 600 of them. I actually love that job, it is slow and meditative.
Just born. I did not expect twins. The mouflon family is growing.#lifeatthefarm
First inspection of the year, candi and treatment. The girls are doing "ok". I wished they were doing better. Between relentless Asian Wasp Attacks and monthly temperature spikes last summer, they are doing good, considering. Most of the bees were in the centre frames, cuddling the queen. I left them alone. Thanks to Manon for the photos!!!! #bees; #beekeeping; #beelove
