If you’re using AI to make creative art, whilst not using it for the work that pays the bills, you’re doing computing and automation exactly backwards.

Failed to convince my sibling to replace their elderly Lenovo laptop with a Mac, so we specced a Dell instead. Oh well.

Then I realised, as family IT resource, I will be transferring the data from the old Windows laptop to the new Windows laptop, and it’s something I’ve not done for a long time. I just use OneDrive for literally everything on *my* PC, so (other than game installs), the whole installation is literally disposable - I just log in on a new machine with my MS account, and all my shit is just *there*.

My sibling? Not so much. Oh well!

I am an Apple Silicon binary fundamentalist. No Intel binaries allowed on my Mac, and Rosetta2 is The Devil. I didn’t spend all this money (so. much. money.) on an AS-powered MacBook Pro to run filthy Intel software on it!

So far, this has meant I miss out on:

Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️

Basically they sell an NFC card with your business deets on it, and you get your fellow members of The Legitimate Businessmen’s Social Club to wave their phones at it, and you transfer contact details to their phone.

Feels…

…insecure.

Not helped by the complete failure to mention security on their website.
