@mhoye Aha! Pix or it didn't happen!

It turns out that my wife snapped a picture of that memorable moment. Margaret Hamilton was a very bright and gracious person.

If you look closely at the left end of the display rail in front of the exhibit you can see the famous photograph of Margaret standing beside her tower of printed code.

Source code starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

@AutisticInnovator I am so sorry for the loss of dear Sam. He was much loved by you, and by all of us who follow you here. Take care, love to you, Nikita and Dinah.
@withaveeay Welcome home. You missed the snow. Loved all the pictures and the stories of your trip.
My son told me he was awarded the Leslie Neilson badge at school. I asked “What's that?” He said, “It's a big building with lots of kids, but that's not important right now.”

"A slew of 20th-century politicians & cultural figures... believed that learning-disabled people – & #disabled people in general – were not just pitiful & wretched, but a threat to #humanity’s future, an idea expressed in the... non-science of #eugenics. They included... Winston Churchill, DH Lawrence (who had visions of herding disabled people into “a lethal chamber as big as the Crystal Palace”), & lots of people thought of as progressives."
Again and again, we are shocked by the treatment of learning-disabled people. Yet we never learn from the past

A landmark book exposes the history of loathing that underpins scandals like Winterbourne View. It has received next to no attention, says Guardian columnist John Harris
