This is a thoughtful take on a very thoughtful take on how we must stear the emergence of AI so we maintain our humanity https://simonwillison.net/2026/May/25/encyclical-on-ai/#atom-everything
Notes on Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical on AI

Dropped this morning by the Vatican: Magnifica Humanitas of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV on Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence. This is a very interesting …

I had a daydream today where I imagined an AI dystopian future where AI models are "doxing" each other by pointing out live zero-days in each others' platforms. I'm not sure this is as sci-fi as it sounds.

A very well written essay on how using AI as a crutch in school defeats the purpose of school. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2026/may/10/fiction-writing-professor-ai

"Writing isn’t just the production of sentences – it’s the training of endurance by way of sustained attention. It’s a way of learning what one thinks by attempting to say it. An LLM can reproduce the appearance of that activity, but it can’t replace it, because the value lies not only in the object produced but in the transformation that occurs during its making."

I knew my writing students were using AI. Their confessions led to a powerful teaching moment

The problem wasn’t just the perfectly polished, yet mediocre prose. It’s what’s lost when we surrender the struggle to translate thought into words

@lcamtuf this might be the logical evolution of your `#include "https://..."` idea

Big changes to Android and Chrome VRP:

- focus on high-impact, reproducible bugs with low/no reward for lower impact
- big prizes for full chains with some annual limits
- PoCs required

It’s the end of an era, but the start of a new one.

Blog: Evolving the Android & Chrome VRPs for the AI Era

We are announcing changes to the Chrome & Android Vulnerability Reward Programs (VRP) which take effect immediately and are focused on adjusting our reward amounts and bonuses to reflect the types of reports and bug categories that provide the most value to security today.

Anyone (know someone who) knows someone that works on Anthropic's Claude in Chrome extension?

I'm a co-chair of the WebExtensions Community Group and I'd love to learn about the team's experience building this extension. Retoots welcome 😊
