One year ago this month, Panda Hill opened in Castroville. The story started earlier, with a little street food cart in Manila where Joyce stir-fried Chinese noodles fresh for whoever walked up. That is where she learned the thing that still runs this kitchen: feeding people makes her happy. The cart was the beginning. Castroville is where it grew up.
