Knowing the Sharp PC-3000 had an optional 2MB RAM upgrade, and that there were two unpopulated pads above the existing two 512KB RAM chips, I figured it was worth a shot and soldered on two more chips. Unit booted up, BIOS memory tests confirmed the successful upgrade, and the built in diagnostics seem pleased as well. #RetroComputing
