Ex-Blizzard, Go Bruins and Dodgers! Love all types of tech! Who knew? I did!
This is a great story. The video and audio approaches Federico took are 100% reliable and in some ways safer because his backups and main recordings rely on different hardware. If one fails it’s not a disaster. https://mastodon.macstories.net/@viticci/113674551040349469

Attached: 1 image It took me 12 years, but I can finally say that I no longer have to use a Mac for any part of my job. I've been working on the iPad...for a third of my life now. And this year, I completely rebuilt my workflow for audio and video production around the 11" iPad Pro. In doing so, I rediscovered why I still love the iPad after all these years. For my final story of 2024, here's how I turned the iPad Pro into my *only* computer. https://www.macstories.net/stories/ipad-pro-for-everything/

The Talk Show Live From WWDC 2024 is now up at YouTube. Special guests Craig Federighi, Joz, and mostly aptly for this year, John Giannandrea (Apple’s head of machine learning and AI). Fantastic audience at the California Theatre in San Jose. Hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed hosting.

Sometimes people ask me how I come up with ideas of what to write. The truth is that the hard part is deciding what to let go of and not write.

Welcome to Weird

Today, Chance Miller reported for 9to5Mac that the progressive web app (PWA) issues iPhone users in the EU have been seeing throughout the iOS 17.4 beta cycle are indeed intentional, breaking changes. The evidence is new developer documentation that added a Q&A section dealing with web apps. As Chance explains: One change in iOS 17.4

@christianselig I’ve been really happy with this one that @viticci turned me on to and we talked about on AppStories. https://amzn.to/3HTrHGf

Small addendum to my previous code question, how do I use an @Observable as a binding if the object I want to bind is optional? In this case, the object might not be immediately available as it comes in async, but once it comes in, I want it selectable

This code compiles, but the selection is never saved

There's probably a better way to structure this too, in that case I'm all ears!
