Practices don’t have to accept every appointment—they should keep control over their schedules.

That’s why appointments can require confirmation. The practice can then accept or decline an appointment.

OpenReception is not only encrypted (Privacy-by-Design). We are also making sure patients can decide what happens to their data (Privacy-by-default).

This is why we let them choose to get e-mail confirmations and updates.

They just have to tick a box:

We’re currently getting OpenReception ready for the pilot phase, which is set to start in a few weeks. We’re turning the prototype into a small, working product that practices can use right away.

We can see available appointments, booked appointments, and in the future also reservations (which need to be confirmed first).

We have optimized this calendar for the following cases:

* Someone at the reception desk receives people (patients)

* The actors view their current day
* Someone at the reception desk searches for the next free appointment (booking appointments via the calendar is a planned feature)
