@redlamp They exist. They're not necessarily recommended.
@briankrebs Aaah, so you know my son.
@kithrup One of my high school reads. I didn't love it, but I still remember it. I think I wanted it to be something more than it was.
@theseanz @fraying I would not be shocked if there was a strain named Blue-Eyed Devil.

If you have leftover enchiladas you can crumble them up (fillings and all) into a pan with a little oil and then you have something like chilaquiles which you can mix with scrambled eggs, top with sour cream, cotija, and hot sauce, and eat for breakfast like me.

I do not like leftovers, but I like this.

@redlamp I mean, who am I to complain, I'm listening to a 6-part podcast about Vince McMahon.
@fraying Watching the leaves fall and going "holy shit it's happening".
@redlamp this is too many hours

Animator Joe Murray ( creator of Rocko’s Modern Life) has a link to where you can get a free PDF of his out of Print book - Creating Animated Cartoons with Character.

Second hand copies of the book are being sold at huge prices, and he is not in favour.

He asks that if you can afford it, maybe pay it forward ( contributions to food banks, volunteering, etc.)

@cturnbow @scalzi Good designers/entrepreneurs look for the duct tape/scratch marks.

It seems like we're ripe for someone to recreate a pleasurable brick and mortar shopping experience for everyday stuff that used to be provided by companies like Walgreens/CVS/RiteAid/Target/etc. The more they put stuff behind glass, underpay staff, make it hard to shop, the more they make it a miserable experience to visit their stores.

But it's still a necessity, and honestly, I'd pay a little extra if it wasn't a soul sucking experience.

This is partly why I go to places like Costco and Trader Joe's. I'm not saying they're ideal, but they at least *seem* to treat their staff like human beings (though TJ's is, lamentably, starting to decline into anti-union efforts).
