Really enjoyed seeing Rachel Joyce & Passenger’s new musical, “The Unexpected Pilgrimage of Harold Fry,” last night! The storytelling, music, and atmosphere were incredible. If you’re in London, make sure to catch it before it wraps up in April. You won’t regret it!
Swift on the Server - we ARE there now with @0xTim! 💾
Back in the talks, @ebariaux talked us through Apple’s open source offerings including argument parser, OpenAPI generator and numerics-
Really really enjoyed @feli’s sketchnoting session at @SwiftLeeds today, what do you think of my attempts? 😄

Had an absolute blast at @swiftserverconf this week!

I’m very glad that I didn’t realise that folks who built the App Attest framework covered by my talk were in the audience until AFTER my talk 👀😅 (thanks for the photo @tracymiranda.bsky.social!)

@alexozun @bas @SwiftLeeds me too!! 🙌
@SwiftForSwifts it looks like there’s some good work going on here: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cpw1vdw2825o
Westminster Abbey's quest to save swifts

The London landmark has installed swift boxes to help boost numbers of the unique birds.

I actually wrote a blog. My first one in over 3 years, AND It’s not about accessibility!

This came out of a great conversation with some folks at @swiftcraft, and covers how I approach planning and delivering tech presentations.
If you're thinking about speaking — or looking to improve — I hope it offers something useful.
I would love to hear your thoughts on what makes a great tech talk.

My tips on making effective tech presentations

I have had the opportunity to speak in public, presenting my thoughts on tech in many settings— from the most incredible tech conferences, to online courses, and small workshops. I’ve also attended countless talks at meetups and conferences, both in the tech world and outside.

Impressive, for a first go at building a boat !
@GuyNamedBrian I am entirely in agreement with this– outside of tech things move a lot slower so figuring out how this can be safely integrated into business processes will probably end up WAY more valuable than the technology itself.
