Sólheimasandur 🇮🇸
On November 21, 1973, the US Navy plane flew into an icy storm. However, the plane did not crash, the pilot was able to make an emergency landing of the plane on the beach of Sólheimasandur without any of the crew members being injured. Even today, the wreckage on the black sand reminds us of this incident.

The Stuðlagil Canyon is located in the east of Iceland and is surrounded by basalt columns. The water of the glacial river has a beautiful turquoise blue color in summer.
