I want to write an alt history book where people refer to the 9/11 attacks but several chapters after they're first mention it's revealed that they happened (basically the same way) in 2005
Reading Dilla Time and I was surprised to see both Poe (the triphop-ish alt rock singer) and John Salley of the Detroit Pistons show up in the same chapter's story. Salley started a studio in Detroit at a time when the music biz was pretty dead there and gave Jay Dee some work. One of his first credits is a beat on Poe's debut. Re Poe, that's the same kind of randomly delightful fact as learning she edited House of Leaves (which was written by her brother).
It's frustrating that "subreddit" already has the nounal meaning it does, because it would be a useful way to refer to beneath-even-reddit internet cultures.

A short story. We once submitted Untitled Goose Game to the Mac App Store. It was rejected by the reviewer because they thought you couldn’t skip the credits. (?!?) We explained that you could skip the credits by holding space. It was then rejected for something else and at that point we just gave up and never bothered to resubmit. Fin
