Love my wife and 4 kids. Proudly worked in the public school system for over 20 years. I’m really into #wildlife and #bird #photography. Listen to a lot of #phish and spent the entirety of my 20s as an annoying #smashingpumpkins fan.

The greatest game ever played was on a Wednesday in Cleveland. Go #Cubs

@Moltz @lexfri really gutted to hear about Heather Armstrong's passing. I loved TTCA with you two and Jon and I'm thinking about his family.

After hearing that President Carter has entered hospice, I was curious who the next oldest living President is.

It's Joe Biden...

What if Judaism was advertised the way Christianity is, during the Superbowl? A thread (on Birdsite):

I’ve always known that Rumours is a great album, but I never realized that it pretty much sucked all of the air out of 1977. I also never realized how much Christine McVie was a songwriting force.

Thinking About Tomorrow Edition Part 2 - Hit Parade | Music History and Music Trivia

The story of Fleetwood Mac is an oft-told rock n’ roll tale: British blues-rock band sells poorly until two Americans join, bringing California vibes and lots of drama. Everybody fights, cheats, drugs, and boozes. Out pops Rumours and tons of hits. It’s more complicated than that. Those two Americans—Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham—got all the media coverage and wrote many great songs. But the quiet lady behind the keyboards, Christine McVie, actually wrote more of the hits: “Don’t Stop.” “Say You Love Me.” “Hold Me.” “Little Lies.” “Everywhere.” They were all Christine compositions. Join Chris Molanphy as he remembers Christine McVie, who died in late 2022 at age 79, and restores her rightful place as the glue that held Fleetwood Mac together. Podcast production by Kevin Bendis. I famously am late to every piece of music that I ever have liked (didn’t get into the Pixies until the early 2000s despite having graduated high school in the mid-90s).

That being said, Easy Star All-Stars' cover of Let Down is one of the best things I've heard in years. Do yourself a favor and listen to Airbag after trying this. Blows you over right out of the gate.
