Violent right-wing extremist Andy Ngo has been locked out of Twitter after apparently violating the site's Terms of Service prohibiting violent speech. At least two of Andy Ngo's tweets were ruled to be violations.

The lockout comes after a nearly 24-hour relentless barrage of anti-trans propaganda from Ngo, which also saw Ngo's network of fellow propagandists spreading transphobic hoaxes lifted straight from 4chan.

Andy Ngo has been suspended or locked out of Twitter multiple times for various violations including hate speech and doxxing.

Not-so-slowly but surely, being on #Twitter feels like sleeping "just one more time" with that abusive ex, long after realizing the relationship has turned toxic. Now I come to Mastodon for the real news, instead of watching a bunch of fascist-enabling dorks jacking each other off.

Hey new followers, especially followers in the legal profession, got something serious to talk about for a sec.

The US is getting extremely scary for trans people. New laws are being proposed and passed to criminalize our existence at a terrifying pace. This stress takes a toll on us, and it's a lot more taxing on me personally than I let show here.

Please speak up for trans people whenever and wherever you can. Don't leave us by ourselves while we're under attack.

We were just banned from Twitter.

It is disappointing but something we expected to happen.

Our crew is in a very healthy place and our work disrupting fascist organizing in so-called Colorado will continue, though we will probably emphasize IRL work even more.

With each new surge of Mastodon users, I feel the need to point out:

1. Welcome!

2. There is a learning curve here, but most people find it short and not very steep. Play around, explore. You'll get it.

3. Lots of people are willing to help.

4. Yes, it's different than Twitter. Sometimes in good ways, sometimes not. But you'll figure it out.

5. With surges especially, things sometimes get slow/glitchy, but they usually get fixed pretty quick.

Be patient.

The key to making Mastodon 'work' is simple, commit to posting here, ignore Twitter as well as you're able and as you detox from that environment it becomes less and less appealing
