My favorite theory about Mad Max isn't actually portrayed in any of the movies except maybe the first.
He's a culture hero mythologized after the fall, and his story changes based on when and where it's told.
This is how things change so quickly from a functional (if on the brink) society to weird and seemingly contradictory wastelands, and how his chaser could be destroyed multiple times only to return in the next story.
something that techlibs will never understand. you need guiding _principles_ more than rules, because rules will be gamed by the worst people until your community rots
"we are enforcing the code of conduct evenly" ok, what are you doing when a public figure with a history of transphobia and a large built in audience signs up? they haven't broken any rules yet. what about the users who came here to get away from that? anything in the code of conduct about that?
