@lxo @civodul The problem with GNAT is that it still can't be bootstrapped entirely from source (which is why Guix doesn't package it). Rust can, even though the bootstrap chain is really long.

@alicorn You can install it as a package manager on a foreign distro: https://guix.gnu.org/manual/en/html_node/Installation.html, it's even packaged in Debian 11.

@DissonantEevee @[email protected] @civodul They are numbered 0-3 because freedom 0 was added later. You can fork GNU, but you can't call it "GNU". I don't think the GNU Assembly is a fork of GNU.
