Inspired by a discussion about what would make the most cursed discord profile picture.
In case anyone else was wondering - Yes, you could absolutely misuse an AV1 video stream to make a sprite graphics engine, but it has no good compositing operations, so if you want any sort of overlapping graphics, you'd have to go uncomfortably close to actually using the format as intended.
Today I added a radius option to a few tools, and got selection masking to work cleanly on most of them (and half work on the lump tool)
I spent most of the week working on improving the performance of my editor for large scenes, so I don't have any new tools to show. So here's some terrain I doodled in it in 15 minutes instead. #screenshotsaturday
I decided to rewrite how selections work, and now everything is broken. Even my air conditioner broke.
I set my level editor up to load a random set of materials every time I boot it. I can't keep this in the final version, but it's already making it more fun to do demo screenshots.
I got the palette to show little cubes instead of just the substance name.
The tree leaves are now swaying in the wind. The "Grasslands - Stylized Nature" pack the trees are from actually already included a wind effect, but I implemented some simple tweaks to make it more to my liking. What do you think?
