🛒 Went shopping so there is some food in the house again that isn't 100% sugar.
🪐Terraformed Mars (the card game) with the teen this afternoon and got soundly beaten.
🎲Caught up with a friend with an evening of Board Game Arena games, got beaten several times over there as well.
Yesterday’s #3GoodThings which I forgot to post because I was reading in bed instead of playing on my phone. Which is a bonus thing. @3goodthings
🌅 Spying a pretty sunrise through the window but being able to get back into bed.
🚲 A nice day for a bike ride. Went off in a direction I hadn't taken before.
📕 Curled up on the sofa with a book for much of the afternoon.
The proprietor of the #LegoAlpineLodge sees another business opportunity at the frozen over village pond and sets up a skate hire stall. The frozen pond is compared to the one that came with the bakery.
Finally everyone (including lots of minifigs from previous sets) piles back to the lodge for a rousing chorus of 🎶“We wish you a merry Christmas” around the tree.
And that is the set completed!
(My fave bit is that the lady with grey hair gets to drive the snowmobile.)
☺️ The fourth day in a row that I haven't touched my computer.
🏊🏻♀️ Found a new place to swim while the council leisure centre spends a year getting a refurb. Twice the price but many advantages; have already tried out the steam room! 🥵
📖 My reading mojo has returned, spurred on by a stack of Christmas present books.
A lady has turned up to deliver the Christmas tree to the #LegoAlpineLodge by snowmobile. (There’s a Christmas tree stall right next door guys!)
The proprietor has belatedly realised he didn’t include any bathrooms in his lodge (in fact there are none anywhere in the village! 😳) and assembles an outside toilet for the guests. It’s a little primitive and probably very chilly but at least there is loo paper.
By the end of the day the #LegoAlpineLodge is complete and the proprietor hangs out the shingle for the Two Pines Inn. The guests now have separate bedrooms and the attic roof can be raised up!
There’s still more to build as there are extra accessories and a Christmas tree for reception to come.
The proprietor of the #LegoAlpineLodge continues to build up the roof; decorating with holly and berries as he goes. It’s done so that the chimney can be pressed down as a button to light up the fire! 😁
There’s space in the attic for another paying guest, but no one else has arrived yet so the proprietor has a sit down.
I had no idea where the light brick was going in the #LegoAlpineLodge but now the fire is alight! 🔥
I think ‘elf & safety’ might have something to say about the placement of the upstairs fireplace next to the bed but the cat is pleased with it.
The upstairs now has a ceiling and the proprietor is starting to assemble the roof.
Bag 8 was notable for only having a single random extra Lego piece in it.
The guest sleeps peacefully in the #LegoAlpineLodge while furniture is arranged around her. She wakes to find curtains have been put up and slippers left out for her too. The skier has had a less comfortable night holding onto his ski poles. He is quite enthused to find he can ski jump from the balcony though! The proprietor rushes to stop him and realises he probably needs to fence the balcony soon.
(I really like the interlocking corner logs on the cabin.)
