Parker Molloy@kjhealy My 1st thought, when the news broke & ppl were expressing awe at the quality of reporting by a student journo, was to wonder what gave him the confidence to pursue the story, which was bound to bring down on him the wrath of powerful people. Then I thought, well, Stanford; he probably thinks he's God's gift to the world already. Now that I see who his parents are, it's clear why he felt safe enough. (Was his father an exclnt reporter at one time? Have only known his fathead era.)

Gigantic companies don't do things because they're "woke." They do things because they think it will help them increase their profits. That's it. No one was running around demanding they change Roald Dahl's books. It was Netflix (which owns the Roald Dahl Story Company) trying to figure out how to boost profits.
