Working in machine learning and quantum.

Something I've been learning in 2024 is the Julia programming language. It's been useful for my quantum computing work but also... fun?

Here’s why Julia is THE language in scientific programming

Julia is a programming language that is popular in the science community, or with teams working in quantum computing, like mine. Here's why it's worth your time.

Cold cold cold london london london!!!
London I love you but it's okay to take a moment and chill out too.

So what does "quantum and quantum-inspired software" actually mean? I wish this site didn't just publish press releases without trying to make sense of them. #quantumcomputing

Rainy London being rainy London is weirdly inspiring. Why does rainy weather make some people sad and others feel like they can put their heads down and work on things?

Sometimes some tech bro will learn I, a young woman, work in machine learning and quantum and try to challenge me that "QUANTUM IS A HOAX".

Whatever they challenge me with, I usually answer "I don't know" and walk away. It drives them crazy but I'm not here to argue with fools.

Starting to wonder if Sabine will go "full Michio Kaku" mode and just start commenting on everything in the extreme. I respect her a lot and this is an interesting debate... does #AI hurt #quantumcomputing development?

Where do you go to get your science and technology news? Especially anything #MachineLearning or #quantumcomputing?
I find that it's been helpful to listen to the informed critics of #quantumcomputing. Even as I'm early in my career in this sector, I respect Meta's Yann LeCun and others. While outspoken, they make strong points. https://spectrum.ieee.org/quantum-computing-skeptics
