Caption: You came to the wrong part of town skin boy

Image: bunch of fursuiters sitting in a subway car looking directly at you

Interviewer: can I get your references?

Me: *sighing* probably not; nobody else does

Pooltoy and balloon sonas are cute
It’s never not going to be funny that after years of hype about crypto-metaverse-subscriptions disrupting web2 incumbents, the backstop to Twitter’s sudden implosion was volunteers recreating Usenet with RSS.

Y'all are chasing working artists away from this place by harping on how "sad" and "pathetic" it is for them to hope for a large follower count here.

It's not about attention. It's about their bottom line. More followers means more commissions, more customers in their online shops, more direct exposure to people with hiring power. It's honestly really cruel to keep acting like they want adulation when really they just want to pay rent.

They have ample reason to mourn what they built.

I’m seeing a marked downturn in image captions / alt text. Please caption your pictures! I (and many other users) check for them before boosting art or pics, especially if the text in the post is vague

You will get better reach if you do, and make the fediverse a better place!

In an attempt to not pressure myself into only sharing and trying to create the best works possible anymore, and trying to have more fun with drawing again, I want to doodle more frequently and even share it with people.

Here's a five minutes ink doodle of a dragon.
Pen is for scale.

hey artists pls add alt text to your cool art so that visually impaired folks can admire it too

btw, people are more likely to boost your art with good alt text since we like accessibility here

ty for your attention! have a good day

Please stop cross-posting your twitter feed automatically to Mastodon. When you cross-post but never engage with your Mastodon followers, you're treating this as a syndication platform rather than a community. It comes off arrogant, and it clutters the timeline.
