アメリカ・ファーストだの日本人ファーストだのというスローガンを叫んだり、真に受けたりする人達は、アメリカなり日本なりの自国や、アメリカ人なり日本人なりの同じ国の国民を愛してなどいない。
ただ、自分自身が持っている「自分の国のイメージ」だけを愛しているのだ。
それ故に、アメリカ・ファーストだの日本人ファーストだのというスローガンを掲げた政治家・政党が権力を握った後に「こんな筈ではなかった」という事態に陥いる羽目になる。
だって、その政治家・政党が言う「アメリカ・ファースト」「日本人ファースト」と自分が思っていた「アメリカ・ファースト」「日本人ファースト」が一致している保証などどこにも無い、って事に気付いていなかったのだから。
