The children overboard “affair” was what shaped my voting choices, and I wasn’t even of voting age at the time. I saw how my adult leaders treated people my own age who were less fortunate and it crushed me. Where the parties stand on Israel’s invasion of Palestine will shape future voters to come for years, and I’m already seeing stacks of people saying they’ll vote Greens instead of Labor. The shame is that we have to wait years for progression instead of politicians changing now.
