My reading life lately - Limberlost, Flames and The Rain Heron, all by Robbie Arnott, research for a profile I'm writing for ABC.
Very suitable reading material for my recent hiking trip in Tasmania too.
I've loved all three books - hard to pick a favourite. Maybe The Rain Heron for its strangeness?
Day six? or seven? Those baby fiddle-leaf fig leaves are looking more like adolescents.

Unfortunately, November is a windy month and we often lose the flowers early to a gale.
But I always enjoy the flowers (and the purple carpet that covers the lawn) while they last.
OK it's day three of my fiddle-leaf fig's new leaf event 🌱 .
As you can kinda see, it's tall - near the ceiling. It's my favourite thing in the house, along with the coffee machine (kids/partner a distant third).
The content we all want - my fiddle-leaf fig is birthing (?) new leaves 🌱
