@danhon thanks, this is the first time I’ve actually had to pay for ML training. It doesn’t quite run on a std 8GB nvidia card, so an interesting exercise to go through

@liquidx I think I've overtrained it slightly, as it's not as good at other faces now, but it's damn good at generating me!

@mildlydiverting yeah, in chatting ideas over with @avsm we thought RSS might be a better way to go. I also wondered about taking longer emails and segmenting them into toots. Sort of like a reverse thread unroll

Looks like recoil.org will gain its own mastodon instance thanks to @avsm

I'll get to test out the account migration feature. On paper it sounds straight forward

I have problems integrating emails from content creators into my browsing habits. Email just isn’t the right headspace. I wonder if I can have a private feed I sub to which would integrate them here where I’m more receptive

One thing I’m curious about is the potential future pain of changing mastodon server (or hub or whatever you call it). I picked .social a while back, but it’s perhaps too large to be useful as a digital neighbourhood. Then again, is one single neighbourhood a bad map for shared interests ?
