I'm a blind IT Accessibility professional with a chemical engineering degree. I’m naturally curious and fervently determined. I enjoy conversation of all types, whether on the internet, in real life, or via amateur radio. I'm into reading, playing piano, and listening to weird but beautiful instrumental music. I also enjoy experiencing new things, and look forward to meeting folks and exchanging ideas and learning from those that have a different perspective than me.
@ShortStamp Perhaps. I can always move back, but the server I got access to is the one Patrick's on so I got an invite link. I like their char limit and the mod they run.

@adam Wish you could transfer back to your old server if the new one is not good. I'd like to move mainly because of char limit. Sometimes, oddly, 1500 chars isn't enough.

@alexhall No one knows. I have over 15 years but work in an a11y group, mainly because it was a promotion. What may save me is that I have experience and skills in multiple different job series and tropics. I’m more likely to be moved to another part of the organization because I have more seniority, though they are firing people who have 25 or 30 years of seniority too, so like I said before, no one really knows.

Receiving an email from a group maskerading as HR and not signed at all is truly weird and a bit terrifying.

Yep. Ensure plus vanilla tastes way better cold and well shaken. Who knew that reading directions on the box would actually be a good thing.
