From his post history here I assume that means he thinks he somehow “beat” me, that I want revenge, and is now in the shower having an imaginary argument where I just can’t stand up to his mighty intellect.

@Smootasaurus I do all my modeling on my iPad with Shapr3D, and I have no regrets. Pretty great experience overall, though occasionally I’ll make a modification that will briefly make me wish the model was parametric.

My filament of choice is PETG. Took a while to dial it in and learn to turn down that cooling, but once I did get it figured out I never went back. I really only go back to PLA for color selection.

Sometimes it’s hard to stay positive.

Sometimes the day wears me down a bit and when everyone goes to bed it’s too easy to just feel defeated.

Sometimes a cool idea for a project I’m digging into to keep myself from depression just reminds me of the people I can’t share it with anymore.

How do you resist the feelings of loss when it’s the light itself casting those shadows?

I miss the old normal. This new one is bullshit.

@malinkey I can’t say I don’t recommend it. I played the violin for a year or so and then the cello for a year but I’m having way more fun with the sax than I ever had with them.

I think the kind of brash attitude of jazz is a much better fit for me than classical.

@ivory I’m enjoying ivory for the most part but there is one thing that really irritates me: when I open an image full screen and want to close it I tend to swipe up, which in ivory starts an animation where the image gets flung off the screen.

I usually don’t swipe aggressively, and frequently find that I get locked into a very long animation where the image meanders to the edge of the screen. I hate this so very much.

Can I turn off that animation? I wasn’t able to find a setting for it.
