#Django folks,
What would you recommend for serializing data from models into method calls to an API client?
I don't have any API endpoints (nor plan to for the foreseeable future - HTMX FTW)
I'm thinking Pydantic but are there others I should look at?
π£ The DSF is hiring a Django Fellow!
A paid, full-time role to help maintain Django: triaging, reviewing, fixing, and releasing. All the good stuff, and you'll be joining a small, dedicated team of Fellows π
Interested or know someone great?
π Apply by July 1: https://www.djangoproject.com/weblog/2025/jun/09/django-fellow-applicants-2025/
@carlton question about neapolitan and django-template-partials.
Do you normally have a single template and then load in different areas (list, detail, forms) via different partials?
I feel that specifying different partial names based on template will get complex quickly.
TIA
This is flipping cool!!! π€©

Xterm from the #Django Discord created this. I've linked to an example I created which will show the queries run when using `update_or_create()`
Please see the About page too, you're asked to be gentle and not cause harm with this.
π Congrats to @browniebroke for this DX improvement PR finally getting merged! A nice little boost for 'startproject' and 'startapp' π
