TIL that in texas we have “Eastern Tiger Swallowtail” caterpillars. They mimic a snake, and have an orange organ that pops out like a tongue. When i knocked this guy off my lemon tree into a bucket he was shooting out tiny web looking things all around him like spiderman might to build a protective cocoon. It smelled really bad. Oddly enough this article im reading says it “smells pleasant to humans, like grass, and pineapples “. Negative ghostrider. Stinky AF. #caterpillar #gardening
