@kdkorte yes people's notions about the relevance and prevalence of Linux are very revealing of who the true "power users" are. Lotta people on the Internet think they're hot shit with computers then blab something like "Linux sucks it will never replace Windows" and you realize you're talking to a complete noob

@CalcProgrammer1 yes I think it would be something about the terminal emulator app. Not all of them support colors. Or maybe htop can't detect which colors it supports. I see this a lot more often running btop in screen, the colors get screwed up and you need to run run with "low color mode". So my best guess is that your terminal emulator app is lacking in color support somehow.
