Day of Accessibility at STScI with Josh Miele talking about his research in accessibility.
He points out the importance of user testing when he made street maps accessible for the blind. All originally built in Matlab.
I'm already exhausted and I've only had my badge for an hour. #aas241

Astronomers coming to #AAS241:

Night Lunch – Seattle's only all-astronomer rock band – is reuniting in Seattle on Jan 10 at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard, 7pm.

As Dr. Toby Smith once opined: "I might define their sound as almost piquant, but definitely non-LTE."

#AAS241 here I come. Astronomy all the time for 4 days is a lot. Don't forget to pace yourself, everyone.
Happy #JWSTLaunch anniversary. May your galaxies be bright, your exoplanet transits be deep and your stellar nurseries be merry.
Every year I'm amazed by these glasses we have that turn all the twinkle lights into snowmen.
#JWSTFirstScience Conference photo taken this past week where we saw the Universe in a whole new way. I've never heard astronomers audibly "ooo" and "aww" so much at a conference.

How JWST revolutionized astronomy in 2022

The far-seeing observatory has served up revelations from the most distant reaches of the Universe to a moon orbiting Saturn.

We just finished a three day meeting describing some of the first results from JWST. #JWSTFirstScience

My take away: Despite living in an expanding Universe...the Universe doesn't feel quite as big as it did this time last year.
