I think my problem is less to do with which instance, but more to do with what I could set my username as?

I'm not sure that @musingsofaswitch really reflects who I actually am, and is more the name of my blog.

So where are many of the https://kinky.business peeps moving their accounts to? I've seen a couple of options so far but curious to see where most are heading

Just got home from holidays and read the sad news.
I'm sorry to hear that we reached the point where kinky.business draws too much energy and money as a hobby project 😿

I've always enjoyed it here and had so much fun on this great kinky instance. It'll be really hard to find a replacement.

Thanks for keeping us safe so we could stay filthy all that time. You've done a great job and should be proud of it 💜

Even just thinking about where to sign up to continue after https://kinky.business shuts down, I am struggling to work out what my username should be on the new instance, or whether I still want a new account at all.

Do I use my current @musingsofaswitch or do I find something else to use? If so, I can't think of anything that speaks to me.

There should be far more kinky content on the fediverse, and it's a big shame that the biggest (I think?) kinky community is closing.  

For anyone looking for a new home, mastodon.art allows all kinds of kinky content, be it writing, photography, art, whatever - as long as it's properly CWed and tagged. kinky.business members are very welcome to move over here.
