A writer (amateur) of prose and poetry. A streamer (occasionally) of games. A software engineering person. According to some, Scottish Chewbacca.

I'm also a volunteer transcriber for the Grafeas Group, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to internet accessibility. Have a wee look if you're interested: https://grafeas.org/

Apparently, somewhere in the BBC's system is something that can't handle a "č".

The Steam hardware survey has some wonky detection going on.

The first two "SSD"s it detects are actually HDDs, one of which is removable, and my Mesa version is actually 23.2.1. (Upgraded before last restart, so it's not that.)

I swear modern game developers seem to either have no clue how to optimise anything or just don't care. How does a DEMO end up 23 GB?

Things I wish Java had: String.endsWith() overloaded with a version that takes as many endings as you give it and returns true if the String ends with any of them.

Example implementation and use case in the image.

If we're opposed to overloading then it could be String.endsWithAnyOf() or something along those lines.

Finally got hold of a copy of Frances Hardinge's "Unraveller", very excited to start it tonight!

Productive day for #nanowrimo =)

Not for any of the things I "should" have been doing, though.
