Eggy Toronto Purim post show thoughts:
1) slow start - pretty mellow from the band, crowd was typical Toronto bystander vibes
2) things rarely overheard a jamband show “things really picked up with the Sheryl Crow cover” true though
3) the sound (esp for Jake and Dani) was muddy and low
4) Big Yellow Taxi was just gorgeous. Edge of Seventeen was the crowd favourite
5) overall a fun night but not the show of the tour by any stretch. With the distraction of the theme, the Eggy-ness suffered
I can’t begin to tell you as a history teacher, a news consumer, and a father how much of my day is consumed by concern for the future. This is not hyperbolic, it’s hypernormalization. It’s turning into the kind of anger that only comes from helplessness. But I can’t just turn it off. It’s awful. Constant DREAD.

Scottie King's Top Albums of 2024
The Finish Line
The music of 2024 rode shotgun to another doozy of a personal year for me. More change than a guy can handle sometimes. And even as me and the fam crashed landed into 2025, amongst the boxes and suitcases, I kept music in my ear and used it to both protect and heal me. This year has
Fuego is a Fishman tune.
#phishAh man. Another cornerstone of my foundation has passed. Phil Lesh, you were one of a kind, and forever changed the face of the improvised bass. Fare thee well. Going to be a Seastones in the Friday mix tonight.

Report: perfectly possible to hate both of these Fucks
OTTAWA – A new report has confirmed it is quite possible, and in fact logical, to hate both Pierre Poilievre and Justin Trudeau. “Contrary to what Conservative partisans believe, we can criticize Poilievre for having the vibe of a guying standing behind the bully in an 80s movie while cozying up to the far-right even […]
The BeavertonDid a thing about a thing I did, again. The first of a few things I’m planning on doing about the thing. It’s a long one but so much fun to talk as usual with @attendancebias_podcast and share the mic with the @stubmedown crew!
I know pretty much anything can ride these days in the 2 slot second set, but it’s nice to see it be a Bag. Do Bowie next. Preferably this weekend on front of me.
#phish@rowjimmy would love to run into ya if you are going to fest?
Hey everyone. Coming to the fest solo? Well, so am I! And I’m looking for people to interview to about how and why they came to the fest on your Lonely Trip and what their experience has been like to appear in an upcoming audio documentary I want to make. If you think this interests you, I’ll be in GA camping and willing to talk. I also am thinking of setting up a table on the path. Anyway, leave your name here if you are interested and let’s try to make this happen!
