You mean the "Academy Journal of Science and Engineering" isn't legit? Is it that this article cites my paper on little #moths of the Caribbean to reference the number of diptheria deaths in various African countries? Did AI write this paper? Will this help or hurt my h-index? #entomology #scam
We received a wonderful donation of specimens for the Cornell University #Insect Collection which did include this gem, a new one for me (the fish hook not the Pelecinus). #Hymenoptera #entomology
You know, it's little things like this that can brighten a gloomy day. #iNaturalist
I think Megaselia is the one that got me to 7777. #iNaturalist
Last night I finally got photos of the mostly black Striped Skunk that hangs out in our front yard. #iNaturalist https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/232616460

I came across this gem and thought it was an ad for a cool #horror film. Nope, it was just #religion.
My fondest memory from this weekend was seeing how fascinated and careful my 1.5 year old daughter was with a Forest Tent Caterpillar (Malacosoma disstria). She kissed it on the head 3 times and pet it so gently (most times petting my arm 2 cm away from the larva). #entomologist #lepidoptera

Since grad school I have started sequentially numbering specimens I have prepared and today I hit a lucky number. The bottom gelechiid is specimen number 66666.

USA: MT: Carbon Co.: Custer Gallatin NF 45.053 -109.422; 24 vii 2023; J.J.Dombroskie, L.Gaudette, J.Russo; UV trap; 2642m; JD66666

I'm setting up the #mothing sheet about a month early due to the upcoming hot weather. Also this year I had some help.
We took our daughter out for her birthday to pick out some toys from the #ithaca #reuse center. She was uninterested in the toys until she found the creepy clown toy which she loved and embraced. There were also some interesting books.
