Maybe instead of climate change, it should be called climate assault.

But I think what I want the most from this is well developed characters.

Like the characters in both Cheers and #Frasier were so well realized that you didn’t need a lot of exposition. They just seemed like real people, and it felt like you knew people like that from the outset.

This, sadly, doesn’t have that. I’m going to keep watching, because I still want this to turn around, but I don’t have my hopes up.

If they had let this blossom into a sharp, all out love letter/satire of academia, exploring what it means to be educated as one of its underlying themes, that could have been so so good.

Or if they had let the focus center on Frederick, set between his Dad and his friends at the fire station, maybe that could have worked. #Frasier

Ok third episode done.

This one was such a missed opportunity to read academia.

And #Frasier has been talking about how he went to Harvard during both Cheers and Frasier, so I get where this came from, conceptually.

But if he’d found out, instead, that he’d been hired by Harvard to be a show pony/teach an easy A class to just to attract donors, for instance, it could’ve been a really great moment of character development, and that would have set up some interesting dynamics going forward.

On the second episode of #Frasier and there are some genuinely funny moments, so I’m feeling a little more optimistic about the series now. But I still don’t think it’s quite there, yet. If the dialogue gets sharper, though, I think it could work.

And I don’t think a lot of the exposition in the first episode was that necessary, so you could honestly skip it and start at episode two.

At a community college, there would’ve been more opportunities for him to organically interact with a wider range of unique characters from different backgrounds, and the original show always did moments like that so well.

So far, it just seems like it’s missing something, but I can’t put my finger on what. Like I know it’s a sitcom, but maybe it needs more believability? I’m still thinking about this one, but I want it to work, so I’m going to stick with it for a few more episodes. #Frasier

Watching the new #Frasier show on Paramount Plus.

So far, I’m only on the first episode, and it’s still a lot of exposition. But I think this might have worked better if they had written Frasier as a professor at a community college and not Harvard.

You’re free! ❤️

Omg this broke me. 😂

For those who ever wondered what a sock hop would be like on the Titanic, enjoy.
