Watching the new #Frasier show on Paramount Plus.

So far, I’m only on the first episode, and it’s still a lot of exposition. But I think this might have worked better if they had written Frasier as a professor at a community college and not Harvard.

At a community college, there would’ve been more opportunities for him to organically interact with a wider range of unique characters from different backgrounds, and the original show always did moments like that so well.

So far, it just seems like it’s missing something, but I can’t put my finger on what. Like I know it’s a sitcom, but maybe it needs more believability? I’m still thinking about this one, but I want it to work, so I’m going to stick with it for a few more episodes. #Frasier

@motalley that’s a good point about giving frasier opportunities to interact with people from diverse backgrounds. so far the harvard job hasn’t been an interesting development in this regard. that said, i think the show is setting up frederick to fill this role instead, much as martin/daphne used to.
@KlingonHipster It does seem like that. I’m going to keep watching to see where that’s going.
