Moving between #Rome and #Paris, I can't help but express my love of Paris in this short poem:
Paris, the city of love and light
Where the Eiffel Tower stands tall and bright
My heart belongs to you, oh Paris, my delight
For your charm and romance cannot be denied.
Though Rome may be grand, and its history vast
Paris, my love, has captured my heart at last
With your charming streets and romantic ambiance
I am in deep love, and forever will be in your trance.

As a person who grew up thinking of America as the dreamland, it's been disheartening to see the events of recent years challenge that belief. When I was younger, America represented freedom, opportunity, and the ability to chase one's dreams. It was a place where anyone, no matter their background, could work hard and succeed.
