An ex-colleague messaged from a developers conference recently saying that an image used by one of the speakers had my name as a credit.

It turned out to be this annotated Dunning Kruger curve.

Google’s AI summary there, completely contradicting itself in two sentences.
I’ll take two, please (got to have a spare).
I have a collection of snaps of utterly dire parking machine interfaces. This from Thursday is up there with the best.. er, worst.
I’m guessing at least 75% of blue roll goes into the left hand bin.

I noticed James Dyson increasingly appearing in my LinkedIn feed when I have no interest in the man.

Looking more closely, these posts are not just shared links, but promoted posts.

The companies doing this are either 1 or 2-person outfits, or no longer exist at all.

No idea what it's about, but now making liberal use of the 'Report this ad' function.

With Chat GPT, it’s always worth that final check.

Which makes me think that any interaction I have in future with any AI will include a prompt along those lines.

The dystopian sci-fi fan in me does a mental double-take whenever I see 'AI' and 'killer' in the same sentence

And that book I got back yesterday? It turns out it wasn't refunded. Which is why I still have it.
