Hey, so did anyone else realize that Felix the Cat (the 1919 cartoon character) is named Felix because the Latin word "Fēlīx" [ˈfeːlʲiːks̠], meaning "happy", is oddly similar to the word "Fēlis" [ˈfeːlʲɪs̠], meaning "cat", in both spelling and pronunciation? No one? Well I thought of that just now, on my way back home from school, after hours of translating the Latin Wikipedia page on cats into a Romance conlang of mine, and it just immediately clicked in my head that that *happy* cat from 1919 was named *Felix* for THAT EXACT REASON.

I'm currently signing up to Latin Wikipedia to fix a typo on the page about cats, and uhh... I must say, very funny captcha there, Vicipaedia.
