A question for those who came here from that other place. It never drew me in. I couldn't see the appeal. I'm glad about that now. But can anyone tell me what made you love it, spend time there, make it part of your life? Genuinely interested.
#twitter #whyTo let the few people who have made some small connection with me that I'm not sure this place is for me. While it's very different from that other place, there are similarities which make it hard to do what works for me, ie get to know people through conversation. It may be the huge influx so I'm not disappearing, but will watch and see how things develop over time, and decide whether to stay after that. Thanks for the friendliness though.
I have a reluctance to parade my work for attention, but as it's part of who I am it seems only reasonable. So overcoming this tendency, one of the ways I create art is through felting. This involves using bits of coloured fluff to make 'paintings', through wet and needle felting methods. This one is called 'light in the darkness'
#felting #painting #artSo, we've introduced ourselves, and are posting beautiful photos and interesting comments. But I came here in the hope that it might become a place for meaningful conversation. For discussions that aren't combative and everyone involved gains from that openness. While I have topics I'm more interested in than others, at this point I'm just curious if anyone else would be keen to do this?
#conversation #discussion #community #sharingThis place is timely for me. Just came back to the UK after 6 months in New Zealand, and my life is still in flux. Everyone here is trying to find their feet, so I'm no oddity. As a lifelong people watcher and long term psychologist it's fascinating to see how we're all reacting to that. Some are trying to recreate where they came from, and others are wandering, childlike, seeing what will develop.
