@lerven Thank you so much. You are really appreciated.
Hey everyone! I want to apologize for the delays today on tweesecake.social. It looks like a couple of our Sidekiq workers encountered errors without actually crashing, and since I hadn’t been checking Mastodon much, I didn’t notice right away.
Because of this, I think it’s a good time to bring on an additional server admin who can help keep an eye on things and respond more quickly if something goes wrong. If you’re interested, please get in touch and let us know why you think you’d be a good fit. Experience with Docker, databases, and Debian is required.
Thanks for your patience today, and sorry again for the disruption. Hopefully we can get a few more admins on board to help keep everything running smoothly.
Hey there! I'd just like to apologize for the short outage; it seems our database is getting a little on the big side, at around 95GB. This caused the local version of the backup to take a little too much disk space. I am now working on a solution to insure this doesn't happen again. Sorry for any inconvenience!
@Valley_prime Hi, This is a follow-up of the last notice. Please could you refrain from fludding the local timeline with now playing content; we are only a small instance and do have a rule against bots. May I suggest setting these posts to unlisted or followers only, or create a bot account for now playing data on a bot-based instance. We will have to force-limit the account if this continues, meaning that all your posts will be set to unlisted and we really don't want to do that.

@summersun704 @TRodick93 Sadly, the old TC doesn't have this funcionality; however, it is pretty easy to do on the web. The next gen rewright will have this funcionality, sorry about that. I do see the follows come in on most of the accounts I run though, and I generally block them as soon as I see them, or the other mods do.
@summersun704 @TRodick93 We don't blanket block domains for 1 bad actor; they do have many jenuin users. We do handle each account that comes in pretty swiftly though.
@adisonverlice We have updated to the latest version of Mastodon, they might have broke something. Are you using the advanced interface? Apparently that helps.
