*The sun burst through, hitting the ground with a sudden warmth.*
"It... it worked?" *Rainbow Dash whispered.*
"The salt... the fans... the pepper... it actually worked!"
OF COURSE IT WORKED! The clouds had a tickle in their tummies! Now they’re all gone to live at the beach!
*Because Kevin had added a crate of black pepper to the mixture, the cloud bank began to ripple. Then, with a sound that shook the windows of Sugarcube Corner, the clouds let out a massive ACHOO. The force of the sneeze sent a gust of wind down through the valley.*
*The payload hit the center of the cloud bank. For a moment, nothing happened. Then, the clouds began to... sneeze.*
*The payload wasn't just launched. It was propelled with the kind of chaotic energy that only Kevin could manifest without the use of actual magic. It streaked into the sky, a shimmering rainbow of salt and paper.*
*Kevin scrambled to the release lever. He took a deep breath, his wings buzzing.*
Okay, Kevinator! Don't let me down! Do it for the lonely sun! Do it for the spicy ghosts! DO IT FOR LUNCH!
*He pulled the lever. The giant rubber band snapped with a sound like a thunderclap, and the spoon whipped forward with such force that the entire catapult tipped onto its front wheels.*
*WHOOSH.*
I’m measuring the wind resistance of fruit! The Weather Team is stuck! @mlp_rainbow says the clouds are 'unusually stubborn' and 'thick enough to walk on,' so I told her I’d bring out... THE KEVINATOR!
*Kevin landed on the ground with a somersault. He pointed toward the town square, where something massive was being wheeled in by a team of exhausted-looking pegasi.*
