Medievalist, feminist, geek.
Pronouns: she/her by default, any/all are fine.
Trans rights are human rights. Black lives matter.

The most mind-numbing part of planning an academic conference is regularization. If the session title refers to "Boethius's De consolatione," then the paper titles can't refer to "Boethius' De Consolatione." If one paper in a session is about "Hugh of Saint Victor," then the following paper can't be about "Hugh of St. Victor" or "Hugues de Saint-Victor."

They seem like tiny details, but if you skip them, the whole program looks unprofessional... so then you gotta rinse and repeat for 500 more sessions.

I followed a whole bunch of people maybe a week ago via one of those auto-import tools, but those follows seem to be gone now. Has anyone else had something like this happen, or is this user error on my part?

And I'm refollowing people manually, but if I accidentally skip over you, please do poke me!

so obviously i'm sad twitter died, mainly because i got a lot of my indexing jobs that way, so if you need to have a book indexed, hire me! (please reblog this academics)
