Looking back on our #COVID world I am coming to terms with how much it impacted me personally. I got COVID at least twice (I think thrice, actually, but tests came up negative although I had the same symptoms) and I feel I'm still recovering mentally and physically from the last time in July.

Or perhaps this is simply the #newnormal. Brain fires a bit more slowly. Body is just achey and tired all the time. And I feel anxious more often than not.

They don't really tell you that #dissertation writing is 80% reading, and not even primary or secondary sources but your own writing over and over, every time you sit down to write, re-reading (not always without self-loathing) your own bumbling through the pages.

Sigh.

Why I’ll Be Eating Kimchi Latkes This Hanukkah

This year, I’m making kimchi latkes for Hanukkah.Let me tell you why: Holding space for both my Korean and my Jewish identities in one breath has never been easy for me. I always feel like I’m toeing a line, being perceived as Jewish in one space and then as Korean in the next (or more […]
