Always fascinated/horrified by the audacity of a conference speaker that willfully blows past their allotted time and still has to skip past 10-15 slides when they finally get cut off.
Has anyone identified the h-index at which a cognitive neuroscientist is obligated to write a popular science book on their research topic? It seems like professors of a certain level of esteem inevitably write one and curious what the tipping point is for that.
Friday deep thought: Wondering if there is any overlap between people who arrive at the airport 2+ hours early and those who join Zoom calls more than 1 minute before the scheduled start time?
Pro tip for those of you involved in planning #neuroscience conferences, maybe don’t pick a meeting site served by a small airport that only has like 4 flights a day.
