@Edent my house is flood wired for ... Telephone but they used cat 5e. I want this in a face plate and Poe powered. 2 ports on the back (as phone loops through) and one or 2 on the front so I can go round and replace the phone sockets and get 100base ethernet everywhere. I would end up with alot of switches in series which might be a problem but it should be better than WiFi in most cases. Have you found anything like that?
@neil I fear the issue is more systemic, as byd said earlier this week they are unlikely to put a factory in the UK as energy is too expensive.
When it is expensive to do business you don't take risks and there is a view that young employees are higher risk. Nobody seems to consider they can also be higher reward.
We need a discussion on what we do as a nation, and how to seed thousands of small companies some of which will grow to be the next apple or Google with luck. Rant ends.
