What nonprofits are running their websites with Craft CMS?

It's a question we get asked pretty often when talking to prospective clients who are not familiar with it. So, we did a little research and pulled together a nice collection of sites to help answer that question. Some we've designed and built and many done by others.

#DDEV Pro tip: Has it been a while since your .ddev/config.yaml was created? Do a `ddev config --auto` to get current config in there, and correct comments. It does no harm.

Okay, just found out you can adjust the handle on an instance of a field. So interesting.

@craftcms Think we might be able to see what entry types a field is added to like we can see which entry types have been added to a section?

Though if you have fields with handles richText and richText2 is that going to be a better developer experience than having more contextual handles? Not so sure it will be. Definitely looking forward to thinking about this new opportunity and when and how best to employ it.
Another notable change is Entry Types are separated from a specific section. They have a life of their own. Need to wrap our heads around this one, but at a high level can think of each as a template that can be applied to one and now more different sections of content on a site. Imagine a general template that might be used in your “Pages” and “Blog” sections. Maybe an event template that can be used in an “Events” section but also your “Pages” section? What else? #cms

So, for example, you could name a field as Plain Text with a handle of plainText. Anywhere you need this type of content storage you can use it.

You can still make it user friendly as when applied to an entry type you can enter a label and inline directions/descriptions for them. It’s an intriguing way of thinking about fields.

Okay, so first, our understanding that you will be able to use a field more than once in an entry type is confirmed. Read about it, but needed to check it out directly.

This is an amazing improved for Craft CMS and for content modeling in general. We have not worked with a platform that could do this.

It will cause us to rethink fields as there is the potential they can be less about content and context of where they will be and more about the type of content/data.
